Intent
At St John’s children are encouraged to think and work creatively to solve problems both as individuals and collaboratively as members of a team. Children evaluate past and present technology and its usefulness and are encouraged to be imaginative when designing and making products that solve real life problems within different contexts. They think carefully about their own and others’ needs as consumers. D&T should, where possible, make connections with other subjects across the curriculum.
