Year 4 Homework – 6th March

Reading Homework: Children need to write three detailed comments about a book of their choice. One comment must include a comment about what a character is like and include evidence from the text to support your opinion.

Maths Homework – This week children have come home with an important document providing more information about the multiplication check in June. So that you can see what is expected of them, children have to complete at least 2 soundchecks on times table rockstars as this is based on how the multiplication test will run. Additionally, children will need to also complete at least 3 studio games.  

Year 4 Homework – 14th February

Reading Homework: Over the half term, please can you write at least 2 reading diary comments. One of your comments must include a new word you have found and its definition. 

Maths Homework – Please take time to go on Times Table Rockstars. The ten studio games we usually do at school will still be active for next week and it would be really beneficial to continue with our practise. 

Year 4 Homework – 31st January

Reading Homework: Please can you write at least 3 detailed comments in your reading diary. Please ensure you refer back to our class examples to ensure you are writing a comment of a high standard.  

Maths Homework: The maths task this week is based on a missing number problem on a times table grid.  

Year 4 Homework – 24th January

Reading Homework: Please can you write at least 3 detailed comments in your reading diary. At least one of these comments should be describing your main character and their personality.  

Maths Homework: This week’s maths homework is based on another method of multiplication we have learnt, expanded short multiplication.

Year 4 Homework – 17th January

Reading Homework: Please can you write at least 3 detailed comments in your reading diary. These could be about your favourite character or summarising what you have read. Remember to use evidence from the text.

Maths Homework: This week’s maths homework is based on a multiplication method we have learnt this week, grid method. Try and complete without a times table grid.

Year 4 Homework 6th December

Maths Homework– Complete the Christmas Maths Multiplication Mosaic. This contains a range of different times tables.

Spellings – Spellings will be tested on Friday 13th December. These will be a random selection of the word list provided.

Reading Homework – Three detailed reading comments need to be put into your reading diary.  

Topic Homework – A few weeks ago all children were given the Mayan knowledge organiser. We will be testing children based on their Mayan knowledge next week. Please spend time looking at this. If you have lost this sheet, it is available on the website under the class webpage.

Year 4 Homework 29th November

Maths Homework– You will need to complete at least 5 studio games on Times Tables Rockstars,

Spellings – Spellings will be tested on Friday 6th December.

Reading Homework – Three detailed reading comments need to be put into your reading diary. One of your comments must detail the setting of your book.

Winter Wonderland Homework – For the winter wonderland, our class stall is going to be “Guess the Weight of the Sweet Jar”. Each guess will cost the player 50p. Please can you design a poster for this event. The winning poster (chosen by the class) will go on our stall. If you wish to donate any sweets for this event, this is completely optional. Please can any donations and posters be handed in on Wednesday 4th December.

Maths Homework– You will need to complete at least 3 studio games and 2 soundchecks on Times Table Rockstars. If you do not have access to the internet, you can use one of the chromebooks in school during lunch or break time.

Spellings – Spellings will be tested on Friday 22nd November.

Reading Homework – Three detailed reading comments need to be put into your reading diary. One of your comments must discuss what genre your book is about and how you know this.

Maths Homework– You will need to complete at least 3 studio games and 2 soundchecks on Times Table Rockstars. If you do not have access to the internet, you can use one of the chromebooks in school during lunch or break time.

Spellings – Spellings will be tested on Friday 15th November.

Maths Homework– You will need to complete at least 3 studio games on Times Table Rockstars. If you do not have access to the internet, you can use one of the chromebooks in school during lunch or break time.

Spellings – Spellings will be tested on Friday 8th November.

Reading Homework – Three detailed reading comments need to be put into your reading diary. At least one should state whether you like your library book and why. Ensure you support your opinion with evidence from the text.

Maths Homework – Complete the 6 times table activity sheet and stick inside your homework book.

Reading Homework – Write at least 3 detailed comments about the book you are reading. One comment must include information about the setting of your book. Use evidence from the text.

Spellings – will be tested on Friday 11th October.
